Internet Strategy Consultancy

...putting the web to work for your business

When our clients first approach us they are looking to see how our 10 years web & Internet expertise can benefit them. Many clients will have already envisaged needing a website but they may not have considered other opportunities such email marketing, on-line advertising, social networking etc - our job is to make clients aware of such opportunities. The full plan of how these services can be used for the benefit of the client is referred to as an 'Internet Strategy'

Internet strategy varies from client to client but it may involve a series of phases such that the client's web presence evolves and grows as their business grows. Our job is to be there for the client; acting as their web strategy partner.

What is the process for using Internet Strategy?

If you think that your business could benefit from Internet Strategy, then why not get a feel for what is involved:

Step 1 - Discovery

This involves gaining a deep understanding of your business, understanding your brand, your goals, your products & services, your customers, your leads, your prospects etc. Looking at all the relevant factors which can come into play when assessing what your business should be doing online.

The length of time this step takes does vary depending on the size of the business. Another key factor is the amount of existing business planning already in place; for instance, if there is very little documentation of brand, target audience, customer services then that will need to be addressed first as it forms the bedrock of the Internet Strategy.

Step 2 - Analysis & Planning

We then consolidate what we have learnt and propose candidate options. Some of these options will be of the "can do today" variety, and some will be "can do at a later stage" - the key here is to identify all the relevant options and to prioritise accordingly.

The length of time taken for planning does depend on the size of company etc but you should allow for between 2 and 5 days.

Step 3 - Execution

The third phase involves executing the chosen options. Depending on the exact option (it could be minor updates to the website, a major overall, setting up email marketing, social media training etc) then varying levels of hands on time from Jojet* will be required; from full training, to hand holding or design & development - it depends on the task.

What works well for most clients is where a certain amount of time is allotted each month to spend on executing and reviewing progress. For some clients this may be half a day a month, for some clients this could be a day a week.

Step 4 - Repeat

The final (and ongoing) step is to keep measuring progress to date, keep selecting the best options to achieve goals and to keep implementing options.

Any questions?

Please shout out if you have any questions!

(* some clients have to work with incumbent designers/developers for certain aspects of the strategy. This is fine. Where this is not the case, Jojet can provide any proposed services or help the client select an appropriate supplier.)

Why not come along to one of the upcoming seminars or training events (typically held in the Newport, South Wales, Cardiff area) to meet Joel and to find out more about how jojet can help your business?
